The 2011 Legislative Session is approaching — once it's arrived, don't forget that all association members are invited to join us for an A.S.E.A.-hosted "Legislative Day"! Legislative Days provide an opportunity for interested members to learn more about the process of state government.

Legislative Days are generally scheduled on all workdays except Friday, and usually for groups no larger than five. Participants are brought to the capitol for a brief tour, can listen in on committee meetings of potential interest, and — when possible — meet their legislators.

Interested members can contact either their chapter president of the Arkansas State Employees Association directly to make arrangements to attend. As the session grows closer, more information will appear here and in upcoming issues of the A.S.E.A. News.
